- From the Department of HOLY CRAP! - The F***ING GORIES ARE REUNITING and TOURING. Down ‘n dirty rock n’ roll just got it’s swagger back. This isn’t garage rock, this is basement rock. The deep, funky, grimey shiz that stinks of cigarettes in old beer. Makes you wanna dance in ways that would make your mom blush. They’re from Detroit. ’Nuff said. If you haven’t heard I Know You Fine, But How You Doin’? or House Rockin’ then ditch school, tell your boss to shove it, light yourself an unfiltered Lucky Strike and get to a record store. Check this out. The Gories doin’ a little Wilson Picket. Straight.

And Janelle Monae was on Letterman? What a trip! Good for her. I really like this video/short film she did a while ago:
The song, the moves, the costumes, the sets, the effects, the cinematography, the homages, the message… I think it’s a nifty piece of work.
The T.V. and giant grey suit on the Byrne doll were a great direction to go with him! Janelle and Byrne should trade suits for a day…
OMG, The Gories!!! Amazing! Maybe I can see them live this time around. And that Janelle Monae video is uh-may-zing!!
